Jobs Hero Privacy Policy

Overview

Jobs Hero ("the extension") is a browser extension that adds job filters, role tagging, and lightweight company insights on LinkedIn Jobs and LinkedIn Feed pages. This policy describes what data the extension uses, how it is used, and where it is stored.

Data collection and use

• No data is sent to our servers. The extension does not transmit page content, job data, or settings to external servers. All processing happens in your browser.
• Local storage only. Your filter preferences (for example: hide viewed, keyword filters, company blacklist) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage.local. Only the extension can read or write this data.
• Page content. The extension reads job listings and job detail content on LinkedIn pages you visit (only on linkedin.com/jobs/* and linkedin.com/feed/*). This is used only to:
  • Apply your filters (for example: hide viewed/applied, keyword match).
  • Show role-type tags and an insight panel (for example: company size, industry) next to job details.
• No account or personal data. We do not collect, store, or transmit your LinkedIn account details, profile, or any personally identifiable information.
• No sale or transfer of data. We do not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties. Any links you choose to open from the extension, such as feedback or uninstall survey pages, are third-party pages you visit directly.

Permissions

• storage — Used to save and load your filter and UI preferences locally on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
